Online Advent Retreat

The Priory Institute is offering a four-session online presentation, dwelling on the concreteness of
the Christian revelation.

 Retreat Director: Donagh O'Shea OP

Donagh O'Shea is an Irish Dominican, currently director of the Dominican Retreat Centre in Tallaght. He has given retreats and taught courses on spirituality in many parts of the world. He has authored several books, including the forthcoming A Hundred Roads to Here: Introductions to Meditation. He is also a potter, and for forty years has been using clay-work to open up new paths to meditation: see his Go Down to the Potter’s House: A Journey into Meditation (1988). See also his website


Each Sunday of Advent a twenty minute filmed talk will become available for viewing.


Begins 27 November 2022.

Registration must be complete two working days before the retreat is due to begin i.e. 23 November.  Participants will receive login credentials by close of business on Friday 25 November.

Course Delivery

The course consists of four recorded presentations by Donagh O'Shea OP. There are four presentations that will become available over the four Sundays of Advent,  so on the first Sunday there will be access to one recording and on the second Sunday access to two recordings and so on. Participants can watch the films whenever suits them, and revisit films they have already viewed.
