2026 Online Summer School: Man and Woman He Created Them
This course of four filmed lectures and one live video conference will explore themes in Pope John Paul II’s catechesis on the “Theology of the Body”.
The course will examine a selection of Pope John Paul’s writings on the human body, man and woman, love and sexuality and marriage. It will begin with some pre-papal material which is important in Love and Responsibility. It will then delve into 2 lectures as an overview of themes in his catechesis on “theology of the body.” We will examine his writings on original human experiences, the effect of sin, and other themes. Our final lecture will be on man and woman as the image of God, explaining what that may mean, and looking at some of the complementary aspects of being man and woman, even some of the science involved in our own day.
